Ingredients

1 ripe pineapple (cut into small pieces)

200 g sugar

finely ground raw ginger

1 tablespoon garlic (finely ground)

1 ½ teaspoons vinegar

1 tablespoon chili powder

Salt to taste

Method

1. Prepare the Ingredients:

Peel and cut the pineapple into small chunks. Gather all other ingredients.

2. Cook the Base Mixture:

Heat a pot on the stove. Add vinegar, salt, ground ginger, and garlic. Let the mixture cook until aromatic and it starts to boil.

3. Add Pineapple:

Stir in the pineapple chunks and mix well. Allow the mixture to cook over medium heat.

4. Thicken the Chutney:

Add the sugar and chili powder. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens to a chutney-like consistency.

5. Cool and Store:

Once the chutney is ready, remove it from the stove and let it cool completely. Transfer to a clean, airtight glass jar for storage.
